5 Tips for selecting the best photos for your magnets
When we tell our friends and family about our magnets, they are quick to reply with "I can't wait to place an order!" But when it comes to placing an an actual order, it can takes them few days make the purchase.
The delay is mainly caused by their indecision on what photos they want printed and featured in their house. We take hundreds and thousands of photos every year, so the selection the perfect pictures can be a daunting task. To help in your photo selection, we listed a few considerations below to help you make a confident decision in turning your cherished photos into the perfect photo magnets.
1. Focus on Faces
Since our magnets are small, pictures with prominent faces tend to look best. Close-ups or portraits of loved ones and pets are easily recognizable and display well. Choose pictures where the subject is centered to avoid too much empty space in the picture.
2. Simple Backgrounds
Photos with simple or uncluttered backgrounds will look more polished on magnets. This will allow the main subject to stand out. You don't want the background to take any attention away from those beautiful faces!
3. Close Up Pictures
Pictures that are zoomed out may get cut off when you crop your pictures into squares. To avoid this, find and upload close up pictures with one or two subjects for the best results.
4. High Resolution Photos
We recommend you select photos with the highest resolution possible. Low-quality photos will appear blurry or pixelated when printed. Photos taken from smartphones in the past 3-4 years will produce high quality print outs. Choose photos with good lighting and clear subjects. Avoid dark or overly saturated pictures.
5. Variety is the spice of life
Don't limit yourself to one type of photo. Include a mix of candid shots, portraits, landscapes that capture your best memories and stories! Prioritize images with genuine smiles, laughter and moments. Consider milestone moments like weddings, graduations, birthdays or family reunions!
Not every moment can be captured perfectly to fit into a magnet, but consider the tips above when selecting your photos to help you get the perfect magnet to show off in your house or anywhere you want to put your magnets!
